Ribbon Cuttings

The Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber’s Economic Development Partnership (EDP) are here to support the Grand Opening or Anniversary Celebration of your business.  

The Chamber can assist with specific aspects of the event, but asks that you provide at least six weeks advance notice for us to adequately prepare and confirm schedules.  To request Chamber participation, please contact us to discuss available dates. Once the date is confirmed, we will send a Ribbon Cutting contract. Specific areas the Chamber can assist you with your ribbon cutting ceremony:

  • Provide contact information for all local elected officials
  • Request Chamber representatives (staff & board of directors) to attend the event
  • Send your press release to local media outlets via email
  • Provide a list of caterers for the event
  • Provide a list of entertainers for the event
  • Provide a list of members to supply invitations, banners, rentals, a/v, etc.
  • Supply ribbon, scissors, and camera for the ceremony
  • Include a photo and caption in the Chamber newsletter, insight (space permitting)
  • Include a photo in other Chamber electronic and social media communications (space permitting)
