Denise Padula, Owner of Alchar Printing, Wins SBA's Syracuse-Upstate NY District Woman Business of the Year



Denise Padula started her career with Alchar Printing 39 years ago as an employee of the business.  After working in every aspect of the business, in 2000 Denise purchased majority ownership and in 2006 she attained 100% ownership of the business.  Denise has worked diligently to improve the manufacturing efficiencies, cost models, business profitability, financial sustainability, and identifying new markets.  Alchar Printing is a New York State Certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise.

Denise Padula and Alchar Printing are long-time clients of the Small Business Development Center at the University at Albany.  Denise has worked with her advisor on projects including financial planning and access to capital, large scale equipment purchases, union negotiation strategies, operational management and efficiencies, growth strategies, new markets and Covid-19 assistance.

Alchar has been recognized by the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Rensselaer County Legislature for having contributed to the vitality of Rensselaer County for over 50 years.  Alchar was also named NY SBDC Client of the Year.  Denise donates to numerous community and charitable endeavors and is currently on the board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
