Academy of the Holy Names is committed to preparing girls in grades 6-12 to become moral, intellectual, community and cultural leaders. Berlin Central School District is a small, rural public school district located in eastern Rensselaer County, approximately 25 miles east of Albany, N.Y. It serves about 730 school children in two school buildings – Berlin Elementary School and Berlin Middle/High School. The district includes five towns: Berlin, Grafton, Petersburgh, Poestenkill and Stephentown. Our school district population is approximately 6,800 residents. Discovery Place Learning Center is owned by an early childhood teacher with over 25 years experience working with children and families. Our experienced and professional staff provide a distinct advantage for children of all abilities. Located in both Albany and Troy, KIPP Capital Region serves 2,500+ students in grades K-12 across seven schools. Since 1968, LVORC has provided free, confidential tutoring to adults in greater Rensselaer County. We train volunteers to help learners to improve their ability to read, write, speak and understand English; empower our learners to be advocates for themselves; and educate the community about literacy issues. We also offer math, computer, and financial literacy; English Literacy Civics and citizenship prep; and Everybody WINS! Power Lunch reading and mentoring for children. New volunteers welcome.

Founded in 1958, Maria College is one of 17 colleges and universities in the United States sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. The private, co-educational Catholic college in Albany, NY serves approximately 800 students in a variety of degree and certificate programs including liberal arts, psychology, healthcare manangement, nursing, occupational therapy assistant, and health and occupational sciences, as well as a Master's in occupational therapy.

Higher Education Institution established in 1916. The 3,000 students at Russell Sage College pursue bachelor's, maste's and doctoral degrees on our campuses in Albany and Troy. Students participate in learning environment that offers varied interdisciplinary academics, opportunities for community engagement, options to study aborad and a range of artistic and athletic endeavors.

Schodack CSD is a rural public school district educating nearly 900 students K-12. Our High School is a National Blue Ribbon School and has had the highest graduation rate in the Capital Region for the past two years. While relatively small, we offer opportunites comparable to much larger districts by embracing creative educational initiatives. Schodack offers rich opportunities including rigorous academics, AP and dual enrollment college courses. Students enjoy sports, visual and performing arts, co-curricular activites, and giving back to their community through service. Maple Hill High School has been recognized by New York State Education Department as a Reward School for the years 2013-14, 2014-15, 2016-17, and 2017-18.

The Susan Odell Taylor School offers an exceptional educational choice to families throughout the Capital Region with children in preschool, elementary and middle school. The town occupies a beautiful site on the Hudson River which forms its entire western boundary and is located in the southwest corner of Rensselaer County. Officially formed on March 17,1795. Today, Schodacak is governed by a supervisor and four councilpersons, comprises 63 square miles, and home to 12,794 residents according to the 2010 Federal Census.
