River Fest 2024: A Day of Celebration and Community in Downtown Troy, NY

River Fest 2024 is set to bring an unforgettable day of celebration and community to Downtown Troy, NY, on Sunday, May 19th, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Hosted by the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District, RadioRadioX and the City of Troy, this annual event is a beloved tradition in the Capital Region, offering a lively mix of music, art, food, and culture that transforms the heart of Troy into our beloved vibrant festival.

Celebrating its 20th year, River Fest has become a cherished event for locals and visitors alike. This year's festival promises to be the biggest yet, with a wide range of activities and attractions for attendees of all ages. Artists and attendees are encouraged to grab chalk at the festival and unleash their creativity on the sidewalks.

“Each year, River Fest embraces the unique spirit of Downtown Troy along our magical waterfront and all it has to offer,” said Mayor Carmella Mantello. “This year is going to be the best yet, with local artists, vendors, food, and activities for all ages livening up our city streets. River Fest 2024 is just one of many summer events that brings our community together and reminds us that we are one Troy.”

What to Expect:

  • Live Music: Enjoy performances by Gus Unplugged, Peak Music Performers, Black Mountain Symphony, and the Chris Busone Band.
  • Artisan Marketplace: Explore unique treasures crafted by local artisans, including handmade jewelry, artwork, pottery, and more.
  • Delectable Eats: Savor a diverse selection of culinary delights from Downtown Troy's beloved restaurants and food trucks, featuring gourmet sandwiches, international street food, and more.
  • Family Fun: Bring the whole family for a day of interactive entertainment, including children's activities, face painting, magicians, bounce houses, and balloon artists.

The Kids Corner, sponsored by MVP Health Care and Price Chopper/Market 32, is a welcomed addition to River Fest 2024. Located on 2nd and Broadway, this area offers a range of engaging activities for children, including interactive games, face painting, bounce slide, and more.

"We are proud to present River Fest 2024, an event that brings our community together in a vibrant celebration of our city's unique spirit," said Olivia Clemente, Executive Director of the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District. "This year's event is set to be the best yet, and we're particularly excited about the enhancements to the Kids Corner and Chalk Art Zone, which will provide a fun and creative space for families to enjoy."
